Being tall can be very lonely. Being very tall indeed can be life-threatening. Leonid Stadnyk, from Ukraine, is 36 and 8 feet 4 inches tall. He is currently the world’s tallest man. He is tall because he suffers from Pituitary Giantism – but he has never been treated and his life is in danger.
For more than 20 years Leonid has been too fearful to seek help but recently he did have medical tests and we sent the results to one of the world’s leading specialists in Giantism, Harley Street’s Professor Michael Besser. Professor Besser travelled to Ukraine to meet and examine Leonid. He discovers Leonid’s life may have been saved by something little short of a miracle.
